Winter Choir Concert “Singing the Songs of Innocence”

The Linn-Benton Community College choirs will perform their winter concert “Singing the Songs of Innocence” on Thursday, March 15 at 7:30 p.m. in the LBCC Russell Tripp Performance Center, Takena Hall, 6500 Pacific Blvd. SW, Albany.

LBCC director of choral activities, James Reddan, will conduct the performances of the Concert Choir, Re-Choired Element Chamber Choir, Women’s Ensemble, Blue Light Special and the Sirens. Diana Hancock will accompany on piano.

The concert will feature songs from across the choral repertoire performed by LBCC's award winning choirs. Performances will include Make Our Garden Grow (Bernstein), Festival Sanctus (Purifoy), Plenty Good Room (Spiritual), Ascendit Deus (Philips), Keep Your Hand On the Plow (Spiritual), Leonardo Dreams of His Flying Machine (Eric Whitacre) and more.

Additionally, contemporary pieces will be performed including The Shoop Shoop Song and Shooting Stars by LBCC's vocal a cappella ensembles Blue Light Special and The Sirens.

Performance tickets are $10 general admission, $7 for students and seniors, and $5 for under 18 with an adult admission. Box Office hours are Tuesday through Thursday, 8 to 10 a.m. and 2 to 4 p.m.
