A job fair for veteran’s and individuals with disabilities will be held Friday, Oct. 11, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Linn-Benton Community College’s Commons cafeteria, Calapooia Center building, 2nd floor, 6500 Pacific Blvd. SW, Albany. Attending businesses are seeking individuals to hire. Community and campus resources will also be available to assist with employment and resource information. Businesses include ATI Wah Chang, Samaritan Health Services, Comcast, Cascade Pulp, Knife River, U.S. Forest Service and more. Students and community members seeking career opportunities are invited to attend the 33rd annual Linn Benton Community College Career Exploration and Community Resource Fair. The fair will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Thursday, April 14 in the Activities Center Gym on the LBCC Albany campus, 6500 Pacific Blvd. S.W. The event is free and open to the public. More than 50 businesses, industries and government agencies will provide information on careers and employment opportunities. Agencies that assist with employment, training and family needs also will be on hand to inform job seekers about their services, and LBCC will offer workshops to enhance job search skills.
