“The Parenting Doctor” Coming to Corvallis

The Parenting Success Network will host a free seminar “Pocketful of Feelings” with nationally recognized speaker Dr. Ann Corwin Monday, May 19 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Linus Pauling Middle School, 1111 Cleveland Ave., Corvallis. Known to many as “The Parenting Doctor,” Corwin uses decades of experience in parenting consulting and child development education to help thousands of families around the world. Parenting questions on how to help children manage their feelings often arise. How do we teach a three year old they can’t hit another child? How do we respond to a preschooler’s tantrums? LBCC Preschool Cooperative in Philomath Enrolling for Fall Term

The Linn-Benton Community College Preschool Cooperative in Philomath is currently enrolling for fall term 2012. Preschool classes will meet on Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings beginning September 24 at Clemens Primary School in Philomath. The program will focus on high-quality learning experiences that provide 3-5-year-olds the foundation for success throughout elementary and secondary school. Parents take an active part of their child’s learning, working in the classroom and joining the teacher in activities planning. Financial assistance is available.
