LBCC Offers Real Estate Property Manager Course

A Real Estate Property Manager class will be offered through Linn-Benton Community College beginning April 9. Designed to prepare you to manage rental property, this course combines online and in-class instruction to meet the 60-hour requirement for the Oregon Property Manager Pre-License course. This seven-week class will meet on Tuesdays from 6 to 9 p.m. at the LBCC Albany campus, 6500 Pacific Blvd SW. Cost for this non-credit class is $495. LBCC Free Phlebotomy Information Sessions

Several free Phlebotomy Program information sessions will be offered through Linn-Benton Community College for those interested in training to become a phlebotomist. Session times and dates offered are Tuesday, Feb.7, from 1 to 3 p.m., Monday, Feb. 27, from 10 a.m. to Noon, and Wednesday, March 7 from 1 to 3 p.m. at Lebanon Community Hospital, conference rooms B/C. You only need to attend one session; no preregistration is required to attend. Attendance at one of the information sessions is mandatory to register for the program. The 16-week Phlebotomy Program training starts July 30 and runs through Nov. 16 at the Lebanon Community Hospital Health Careers Training Center and the LBCC Lebanon Center. Skill areas covered in the training include medical terminology, basic anatomy and physiology, customer service, medical law and ethics, phlebotomy and job success skills. Professional Development Class "Civil Rights in the Workplace"

The professional development class “It’s the Law: Civil Rights in the Workplace” will be offered through Linn-Benton Community College Business and Employer Services on Tuesday, Nov. 15 from 8 a.m. to noon at the LBCC Albany campus. Learn about basic employment law, how to follow the law and where to look for additional resources. Explore how to deal with diversity, develop awareness and understanding to foster a climate of respect, and create effective disciplinary practices. Class will be held at LBCC in the Fireside Room, Calapooia Center building room CC-211, 6500 Pacific Blvd. S.W., Albany. Cost for the course is $79 per person, or $69 each for three or more from one company. LBCC Veterinary Assistant Information Sessions

A free Veterinary Assistant Program pre-application information session will be held at Linn-Benton Community College for those interested in training to become a Veterinary Assistant. The session will be held on Monday, Sept. 26, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the LBCC Albany campus, Calapooia Center, room, CC-212, 6500 Pacific Blvd. SW. No need to preregister to attend. Attendance at the orientation is mandatory in order to take the program. The 16-week LBCC Veterinary Assistant Program starts Jan. 9, 2012 and runs through April 27, 2012. Skill areas covered in the training include an introduction to hospital management, business procedures and job preparation skills. The program will also cover basic education and experience in commonly used medical and surgical techniques as well as an understanding of common disease states. Cost for the program is $4,000.
