NSH Gallery Exhibits Paul Hawkwood Photographs
Intriguing photographs by photographer Paul Hawkwood, titled “Light, Gesture, and Mystery: Exploring the Domestic Wilderness” will be on display through March 17 in the North Santiam HallAtrium Gallery at Linn-Benton Community College, 6500 Pacific Blvd. SW, Albany. In his solo exhibition, Hawkwood, a distinguished former LBCC English and writing instructor, takes viewers around the world to explore a visual awareness that extends beyond words. He strives to bring a distinct uniqueness to his work “in ways that are both artistic but unusual, so that the viewer’s attention is held and awakened.” By capturing color and shadow as aspects of light, his images possess spirit and emotion in their subject matter while enticing the viewer to search for a deeper meaning.
