LBCC is offering two free Pharmacy Technician Program pre-application information sessions for those interested in training to work as a Pharmacy Technician. The sessions will be held Tuesday, October 28 from 9-11:00 AM, and Wednesday, November 5 from 2-4 PM at the LBCC Albany campus, 6500 Pacific Blvd. SW, Albany, OR 97321. No need to preregister to attend. Attendance at the information session is mandatory in order to take the program. The 18-week Pharmacy Technician Program starts Feb. 2 and runs through June 5, 2015. Skill areas covered include customer service, pharmacy math, pharmacy law and ethics, pharmaceutical vocabulary, prescriptions, billing, insurance, industry software, pharmacology and on-the-job training.
