Willamette Theater Festival Presents Shakespeare Summer Plays

The Willamette Theater Festival presents Shakespeare’s “The Tempest” and “The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged)” beginning August 9 at the Russell Tripp Performance Center at Linn-Benton Community College, 6500 Pacific Blvd. SW, Albany. The Tempest, directed by Dan Stone, will play August 9 and 17 at 8 p.m., and August 10 and 18 at 2 p.m. 
 The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged), by Adam Long, Daniel Singer, and Jess Winfield, and directed by Leslie Hammond, will play August 10 and 16 at 8 p.m., and August 11 and 17 at 2 p.m. 
 The Tempest is a visually stunning production that will take you on a journey through romance, magic and a deserted island. This final masterpiece of Shakespeare's life places the desire for revenge against the demands of love, and captures the essence of the human condition with its compelling and timeless themes.
