LBCC Names New Executive Director of Advancement

Jennifer Boehmer Linn-Benton Community College has named Jennifer Boehmer as the next executive director to lead the college’s Advancement office. Boehmer will start March 1. She is succeeding Dale Stowell, who is retiring. Boehmer has more than 20 years of experience in communications, most recently as director of strategic communication at Portland Community College. She is the current past president for the National Council for Marketing and Public Relations, a professional association for two-year college marketing professionals. Boehmer holds a master’s degree in communication management from the University of Portland, and a bachelor’s degree in mass communication and public relations from Linfield College. LBCC’s Advancement office encompasses marketing, print and digital communication, media relations, and the college Foundation office, which raises money to support LBCC programs and students. LBCC Announces Executive Director of Institutional Advancement

Linn-Benton Community College announced Friday that it selected Dale Stowell as the next executive director to lead the college’s Office of Institutional Advancement, succeeding Marlene Propst who retired last June. In his position, Stowell will work with faculty, staff and students in promoting the college and serve as the college public information officer. He also will lead the college Foundation in fundraising efforts. Stowell comes to LBCC from Tacoma Community College, where he has served as the director of marketing, communication and outreach since 2007. Previous to TCC, Stowell served as director of college relations at Pierce College from 1998 to 2007, and as assistant director from 1994 to 1998. In addition, Stowell was employed as a regional physician communication manager with Franciscan Health System, and as a publications and media relations manager for St. Joseph Medical Center, both in Washington State.
