Travel at the Tripp Film Series “Bhutan, the Cloud Kingdom”
Join filmmaker Tom Sterling as he presents the third film in the LBCC Travel at the Tripp film series “Bhutan, the Cloud Kingdom” on Sunday, March 11 at 2 p.m. in the Linn-Benton Community College Russell Tripp Performance Center. The last independent Himalayan Buddhist kingdom is no bigger than New Hampshire and Vermont put together. Perched on the eastern shoulders of the world's tallest mountains, this tiny mountain kingdom is a wonder to behold. It has become a tourist mecca. From the moment your plane touches down at the Paro Airport, you'll be charmed by a culture, landscapes, architecture and wildlife that is unique in the world. A Michigan native, Sterling earned a bachelor’s degree as an Interpretive Field Naturalist from the University of Michigan. After graduation, Sterling began working as a film speaker on the National Audubon Society's wildlife film lecture tour.
