LBCC Travel at the Tripp Film Series “Blazing Paddles”

Filmmaker Gary Warriner will present the film “Blazing Paddles" Sunday, Jan. 12 at 2 p.m. in the Linn-Benton Community College Russell Tripp Performance Center. LBCC Travel at the Tripp film series will host the filmmaker and experts from AAA Travel after the show for a question and answer session. Blazing Paddles packs thrills, spills and tons of fun into one soggy film, as you discover the half-forgotten history and scenic grandeur of rivers across America, Canada and exotic locations around the globe. Warriner is an independent producer of documentaries and travelogues, and has won national and international awards for film excellence. He has produced programs for the Smithsonian Institution and was the first photography director for the PBS series Travels with Rick Steves. Second Travel at the Tripp Film “The Real World of New Zealand”

Filmmaker Rick Howard will present the film “The Real World of New Zealand,” the second show in the LBCC Travel at the Tripp film series, on Sunday, Oct. 7 at 2 p.m. in the Linn-Benton Community College Russell Tripp Performance Center. Join the filmmaker and experts from AAA Travel after the show for a question and answer session, with prizes from AAA given at each show. New Zealand has been called the most beautiful place on earth with two large and spectacular islands located just over twelve hundred miles off the eastern coast of Australia. These islands offer the visitor an entire gamut of action, adventure, history and beauty. Paragliding, soaring, trekking, fishing and scuba diving are popular sports.
