LBCC Student to Participate in ASRT Educational Symposium
Kelly Solberg, a radiologic technology student at Linn Benton Community College, has been selected to participate in the American Society of Radiologic Technologists 2013 Student Leadership Development Program. Solberg, a Eugene resident, was one of 61 students chosen from more than 130 entries submitted by radiologic science students from around the country. She is in her second year in the LBCC Diagnostic Imaging program. Solberg will receive an all-expenses-paid trip to the ASRT Educational Symposium and Annual Governance and House of Delegates Meeting, June 13-16, in Albuquerque, N.M. In addition, Solberg will attend two educational courses specifically designed for students and be assigned a professional mentor during the House of Delegates meeting. “The Student Leadership Development Program gives medical imaging and radiation therapy students the opportunity to experience firsthand how the ASRT governance process works,” said ASRT President Donna L.
