The 41st annual LBCC Children’s Winter Festival will be held at Linn-Benton Community College on Saturday, Dec. 3 from 1 to 4 p.m. in the Commons cafeteria, second floor of the Calapooia Center, 6500 SW Pacific Blvd., Albany. The festival is free to children ages 12 and under. An optional donation of new or gently used winter clothing for all ages will be accepted to benefit the people of Linn and Benton counties. Children can participate in activities featuring everything from cookie decorating to pictures with Santa. All children must be accompanied by an adult. A food drive will be held to benefit the Linn Benton Lunch Box program at Linn-Benton Community College staring April 8 through April 22. Boxes will be placed at several locations to collect your non-perishable food items. Look for boxes at the LBCC Albany campus, at the LBCC Benton Center, and at the Albany Civic Theater on 1st Street in downtown Albany. Donations will benefit LBCC students in need.
