A self-defense introductory to Kempo Karate class will be held at the LBCC Benton Center starting January 11. Develop situational awareness and confidence while learning basic self-defense skills including how to avoid attacks and to determine if a situation will pose a threat. No previous experience necessary. This 11-week class meets Thursdays from 7:30 to 8:50 p.m. starting January 11 at the LBCC Benton Center, 757 Polk Ave. NW, Corvallis. Cost is $89.
