South Santiam Hall Gallery Features Gabrielle Hahn

“Nothing is for Free” Gabrielle Hahn, Serigraph on Kozo An exhibit of 15 serigraph prints by print maker Gabrielle Hahn will be on display through February 8 in the South Santiam Hall Gallery at Linn-Benton Community College, 6500 Pacific Blvd. SW, Albany. An opening reception and artist talk will be held January 18 from 12 to 1 p.m. in the Gallery. The reception is free and open to the public. Refreshments provided. Hahn’s extraordinary prints merge the graphic language of tattoos with tantalizingly enigmatic text. Fists, snakes, pinup girls and hearts are just a few of the iconic images Hahn revitalizes in her series. Of her work Hahn states, “I find myself mining past experiences and interests as well as all the imagery I was saturated in while tattooing, and turning it toward my own purpose.
