Several Driver Education classes are being offered winter term through Linn-Benton Community College Albany Community Education. The course includes Oregon state mandated 30 hours of classroom instruction, a three-hour parent/student orientation at first meeting plus 12 hours behind-the wheel practice and driver observation. Registration requirements include completed packet, fee, original driver permit and one photocopy. Drivers Education class will be offered this summer through Linn-Benton Community College’s Lebanon Center. This ODOT approved program includes parent/student orientation at first meeting, 30 hours of classroom instruction, plus 12 hours on the road. Registration packets are available online at http://www.linnbenton.edu/driver-education and at all LBCC registrations counters. This five-week class meets Mondays and Wednesdays, 9 a.m. to 11:50 a.m., beginning June 24 at the LBCC Lebanon Center, 44 Industrial Way. Your completed packet and fee, along with your original drivers permit and one copy, are due at registration. For refunds, class must be dropped 24 hours prior to start date. Cost for students with a permit who are under 18 is $259. For students over 18, cost is $429.
