LBCC 4th Annual Earth Day Celebration
Celebrate Earth Day Tuesday, April 22 at the Earth Day Celebration and Sustainability Fair at Linn-Benton Community College, 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the college courtyard, 6500 Pacific Blvd. SW, Albany. Learn about solar and wind energy, new automotive fuel technologies, bike transportation, recycling and composting. Take a tour the college green roof and organic farm. Purchase fresh produce from the farm and LBCC Horticulture Club, and recycled metal yard art, made by LBCC’s Welding Club students. Bring your old or slightly worn shoes to recycle through Albany First United Methodist Church Green Team booth. Plant some flowers at the LBCC AAWCC booth. OSU Geosciences professor Ann Nolin will give a talk on climate change at noon in Madrone Hall, and LBCC Physics instructor Greg Mulder will give live demonstrations on climate change.
