LBCC, Samsung-IS Healthcare Partnership Provides Imaging Equipment

Samsung and IS Healthcare are partnering with Linn-Benton Community College to provide state of the art x-ray equipment to its Diagnostic Imaging program. The strategic partnership will allow the college to purchase the equipment at a reduced price, completely outfitting the program.  In exchange, Samsung-IS Healthcare will utilize the imaging labs during off times for employee training and equipment demonstrations. Jennifer Clayton, LBCC Diagnostic Imaging faculty chair, cited the critical need for updated equipment for the program. "Our current equipment has served our students since the beginning of the program in 2002 and due to advances in technology will soon be out of date. Our partnership with Samsung will allow our students access to digital technology which is dominate in our industry and will be essential at helping them to transition smoothly from the classroom to the clinical environment." Linn-Co Federal Credit Union pledge boosts support of LBCC’s new Healthcare Center

Students attending Linn-Benton Community College's new Health Occupations Center will benefit from a $5,000 gift by Linn-Co Federal Credit Union, which will help provide state-of-the-art medical equipment to train students on the skills needed for a fast-changing health care field. “All of us at Linn-Co Federal CU are pleased to be able to support LBCC with their new Health Occupations Center," said Carol Cromwell, CEO of Linn-Co FCU. "This facility brings expanded occupational training opportunities for future students and a skilled workforce for the growing healthcare industry.
