Teatro Milagro Presents the Play B’aktun 13
B’aktun 13 , a bilingual play by Portland-based Teatro Milagro Touring Theater Company , will be held Thursday, April 26 at 7 p.m. at the Linn-Benton Community College Russell Tripp Performance Center in Takena Hall, 6500 Pacific Blvd. SW, Albany. Written by Teatro Milagro Artistic Director Dañel Malan and directed by Matthew Zrebski, this original, bilingual production provides a culturally enriching evening of entertainment accessible to both the English and Spanish speaking communities. B’aktun 13 follows three Latinos that are swept up in an ICE raid and deported to Mexico. They are suddenly immersed into indigenous cultural experiences, and as they are drawn into prophecies surrounding B’aktun 13 - the final era in the Mayan calendar -will the world change on December 21, 2012, or will they?
