The Early Learning Hub will hold its first conference Friday, October 20 from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Linn-Benton Community College Forum lecture hall, F-104, 6500 Pacific Blvd. SW, Albany. The Early Learning Hub of Linn, Benton, and Lincoln counties will provide partner organizations in the region with books, activity sheets and materials for the annual Jumpstart “Read for the Record” campaign, which begins Thursday, October 19. "Read for the Record" is a global campaign calling for children, childcare providers, parents and teachers to participate in the world's largest shared reading experience. This year’s book is “Quakers” by Liz Wong, a story about a kitten who grows up believing he's a duck, until the day he meets another kitten.
