Sweet Home Center Art Classes
The LBCC Sweet Home Center is offering several classes for the artist in you this winter term. Learn the writing techniques of calligraphy and the use of different inks, pens and paper by taking a Calligraphy class. A variety of other arts will be incorporated. This 10-week class will meet on Tuesdays from 1 p.m. to 3:20 p.m. beginning Jan. 4 at the Sweet Home Center. Cost for this class is $76.50. For a hands-on form of artistic expression, take the Wheel Throwing Pottery class. This beginning class focuses on the fundamentals of throwing clay on the potter's wheel. Emphasis will be on creating basic functional shapes out of clay, firing and glazing made objects. This 10-week class will meet on Tuesdays from 6 p.m. to 8:50 p.m. beginning Jan. 4 at the Sweet Home Center. Cost for this class is $84.
