The Public Safety Office will hold an active shooter exercise with the Albany Police Department Tuesday, June 14. This full-scale training exercise will involve local law enforcement, fire department, paramedics and LBCC’s Incident Command team to provide practice of a coordinated emergency response at the college. The exercise will be limited to a few key buildings on campus to minimize impact to normal operations. This type of training not only gives local responders valuable practice, it also gives the college Incident Command team an opportunity to interact with other emergency responders and to test the college’s response and communications during and after an incident - valuable training that can be used in any emergency or natural disaster situation.
