A beginning country dance class for couples will be held at Linn-Benton Community College’s Benton Center starting April 7. “Cowboy Dance for Couples, Beginning” covers basic waltz and two-step, as well as a variety of popular couples pattern dances including the Horse Shoe, Cha-Cha, and Sweetheart Stroll. This eight-week class meets Fridays from 6-7:20 p.m. starting April 7 at the LBCC Benton Center, 757 Polk Ave NW, Corvallis. Cost is $65. Two levels of cowboy dance for couples, Beginners Cowboy Dance for Couples and Intermediate Cowboy Dance for Couples, will be held at Linn-Benton Community College starting Oct. 7. Beginner class covers cowboy two-step, swing, waltz, and cha-cha dancing.  Intermediate class is for those who already know two-step, waltz, and cha-cha, with more emphasis placed on turns, lead and follow, and other dance patterns. These dances work great in ballroom and swing dancing situations as well. You are encouraged to enroll with a partner. The beginner class will meet from 6 to 7:20 p.m., and the intermediate class will meet from 7:30 to 8:50 p.m. on Tuesdays starting Oct. 7 at the LBCC’s Albany Campus Activities Center gym, 6500 Pacific Blvd SW.
