Self Defense Kempo Karate class, Benton Center

A self-defense introductory to Kempo Karate class will be held at the LBCC Benton Center starting January 11.

Develop situational awareness and confidence while learning basic self-defense skills including how to avoid attacks and to determine if a situation will pose a threat. No previous experience necessary.

This 11-week class meets Thursdays from 7:30 to 8:50 p.m. starting January 11 at the LBCC Benton Center, 757 Polk Ave. NW, Corvallis. Cost is $89.

Oregon Construction Contractors Board Education (CCB) will be offered through the Small Business Development Center at Linn-Benton Community College. This five session course will meet on April 22, 29, May 6, 13, and 20 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., on the LBCC Albany campus, Calapooia Center room CC-213. A free Career Fair will be held at Linn‑Benton Community College Career Thursday, April 11 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Activities Center gym, Albany campus, 6500 Pacific Blvd. S.W. More than 50 businesses, industries and government agencies will provide information on careers and employment opportunities. College advisors will available to answer questions on career and technical training programs. Be prepared to ask questions, distribute your resume and complete applications.
