Pharmacy Technician Information Session
LBCC is offering two free
Pharmacy Technician Program pre-application information sessions for those
interested in training to work as a Pharmacy Technician.
The sessions will be held
Tuesday, Nov. 13 from 3 to 5 p.m. and Thursday, Nov. 29 from 1 to 3 p.m. at the
LBCC Lebanon Center, 44 Industrial Way.
No need to preregister to
attend. Attendance at the information session is mandatory in order to take the
program.
The 18-week Pharmacy
Technician Program starts Feb. 4 and runs through June 14, 2013.
Skill areas covered include
customer service, pharmacy math, pharmacy laws and rules, pharmaceutical
vocabulary, prescriptions, billing, insurance, industry software, pharmacology
and on-the-job training.
Cost for the program is $4,500,
which includes all books and supplies. The program is eligible for financial

This means that they should earn a starting salary of up to $24,954 annually. Certified pharmacy technicians earn a lot more as compared to those who are not. In North Carolina, they pay their technicians a minimum of $10 per hour. In Ohio, on the other hand, pharmacy technicians get paid $9.50 an hour. Pharmacy Tech Wage
