Community Art classes in Albany, Corvallis, and Lebanon

A variety of art classes, including a few new ones, are being offered through LBCC Community Education starting March 28.

In the new class “Art & Etsy,” learn to polish your craft and sell your art. Bring your own product to polish up, or bring to life a new creation. Immerse yourself in product design and then create a catchy shop name and an inviting online presence. This one-day class meets Thursday, April 7 from 1 to 3:50 p.m. at the LBCC Lebanon Center, 44 Industrial Way, and Friday, April 15 from 1 to 3:50 p.m. at the LBCC Benton Center, 757 Polk Ave, Corvallis, and Saturday, April 16 from 10 to 12:50 p.m. at the LBCC Albany Campus, 6500 Pacific Blvd. SW. Cost is $39.

The new class “Mosaic Mashup” helps you create a mosaic masterpiece from recycled materials. Incorporate paper, glass tiles, ceramic tiles, and a wide selection of other materials. Leave with your own unique piece of artwork. This one-day class meets Thursday, March 31 from 1 to 3:50 p.m. at the LBCC Lebanon Center. Friday, April 8 from 1 to 3:50 p.m. at the LBCC Benton Center, and Saturday, April 9 from 10 to 12:50 p.m. at the LBCC Albany Campus. Cost is $39.

In Expressive Watermedia, learn watercolor and acrylic in hands-on exploration of color theory and design to learn how to control medium – water, paper, pigment and brushes. This eight-week class is held Thursdays starting March 31 from 9 to 11:20 a.m. at the LBCC Benton Center, Corvallis. Cost is $99.

In the class Watercolor Painting - Beginning, learn to use pigment, water, paper and brushes. This eight-week class is held Mondays starting March 28 from 2 to 3:50 p.m. at the Albany Senior Center, 489 NW Water St. Cost is $79.

In the class Watercolor Painting, Intermediate/Advanced everything that is learned in the beginning class is taken to the next level including many new and challenging techniques. This eight-week class is held Wednesdays starting March 30 from 9:30 to 11:20 a.m. at the Albany Senior Center. Cost is $79.

The class “Corks and Canvas” lets you explore your artistic talent while enjoying the atmosphere of a local winery. Receive step-by-step instruction, supplies, and your first glass of wine for inspiration (or age appropriate beverage). This one-day class in held Thursday, April 28 from 6 to 8:20 p.m. at Marks Ridge Winery, Lebanon. Cost is $39.

The class You Can Paint Acrylics provides the basics of design and acrylic painting with professional muralist, Victoria Knight. Take home a completed beach landscape scene to keep, or give as a gift. This one-day class is held Friday, April 29 from 10 to 2:20 p.m. at the LBCC Lebanon Center. Cost is $65.
