LBCC Pharmacy Technician Information Session
LBCC is offering two free Pharmacy Technician Program pre-application information sessions for those interested in training to work as a Pharmacy Technician.
The first information session will be held on Monday, Oct. 24, from 9 to 11 a.m. at Samaritan Lebanon Community Hospital, conference rooms B/C. The second session will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 9 from 1 to 3 p.m. in the same hospital conference room.
No need to register to attend. Attendance at the information session is mandatory in order to take the program.
The 17-week Pharmacy Technician Program will be offered starting February 6, 2012 through June 8, 2012. Skill areas covered in the training include customer service, pharmacy math, pharmacy laws and rules, pharmaceutical vocabulary, prescriptions, billing, insurance, industry software, pharmacology and on the job training.

Annual salary of pharmacy technician depends largely on the background of the individual and the workplace location. Average salary of a technician is around 36,000 dollars per year.
