LBCC Benton Center Ceramics Lecture and Workshop
The LBCC Benton Center will hold a ceramics lecture and workshop with Oregon potter Wally Schwab on Friday, Oct. 21 and Saturday, Oct. 22 at the center, 757 NW Polk Ave., Corvallis.
Schwab has set the standard for wheel skills and brushwork decoration. Since earning his masters in fine art from Alfred University forty years ago, he has been the nucleus of many ceramics programs and offers an international apprenticeship through his studio.
Join Schwab as he shares his work during a Friday evening slide lecture from 7 to 8 p.m. at the Benton Center, room BC-204. The lecture is free and open to the public.
On Saturday, Oct. 22, Schwab will demonstrate his techniques for brushwork decoration in a daylong workshop from 10 a.m. to 3:20 p.m. at the Benton Center ceramic studio, room BC-140. Cost for the workshop is $35.
