LBCC Lebanon Center Outdoor & Environment Class

Learn about outdoor emergency survival and backpacking skills in one of the outdoor classes offered at the LBCC Lebanon Center this spring.

The one-day class "Surviving an Outdoor Emergency" will introduce skills to help you survive in an outdoor emergency, including mental and physical preparation, starting a fire, creating a shelter, signaling and a list of items you should always carry in the outdoors.

Class will meet on Saturday, April 14 from 9 a.m. to 4:50 p.m. at the LBCC Lebanon Center, 44 Industrial Way. Cost for this non-credit class is $39 plus a $2 fee.

Learn backpacking skills in the eight-week class "Backpacking with Confidence," including preparation, essential supplies, sleep systems, water collecting, cooking, navigation, what to do in an emergency, trail walking strategies, foot care, night travel and off-trail travel.

Class will meet on Mondays from 6:30 to 8:20 p.m. beginning April 2 at the LBCC Lebanon Center. Cost for this class is $57 plus a $3 fee.

Adults age 62 and above receive a 25 percent reduction in tuition. Reduction does not apply to fees.
