Lebanon and Sweet Home Centers Computer Classes

Are you a novice computer user who would like to learn basic computer skills? LBCC Lebanon and Sweet Home Centers are offering two beginning computer classes.

"Computers-First Step" is designed for those who have never touched a computer before and want hands-on, step-by-step instruction. This easy-paced class includes identifying and using the various parts of the computer, how to use the mouse and keyboard, and introduces Windows 7 with a brief introduction to email and the Internet.

This four-week, non-credit class will meet on Wednesdays from 6 to 8:50 p.m. at the Lebanon Center, 44 Industrial Way, beginning April 4, and on Thursdays from 6 to 8:50 p.m. at the Sweet Home Center, 1661 Long St., beginning April 12. Cost for the class is $45 plus a $3 lab fee.

Continue to build on your skills in the class, "Computers-Second Step." This class explores additional features of Windows 7, the Internet and email. Learn how to copy information between programs, organize files, create folders and easy computer maintenance tips.

This four-week, non-credit class will meet on Wednesdays from 6 to 8:50 p.m. at the Lebanon Center beginning May 2, and on Thursdays from 6 to 8:50 p.m. at the Sweet Home Center beginning May 17. Cost for the class is $45 plus a $3 lab fee. Students must have completed the "Computers-First Step" class or have equivalent computer experience.

Adults age 62 and above are eligible for a 25 percent reduction in tuition. Reduction does not apply to materials or lab fees.
