A free Career Fair will be held at Linn‑Benton Community College Career Thursday, April 11 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Activities Center gym, Albany campus, 6500 Pacific Blvd. S.W.
More than 50 businesses, industries and government agencies will provide information on careers and employment opportunities. College advisors will available to answer questions on career and technical training programs.

Oregon Construction Contractors Board Education (CCB) will be offered through the Small Business Development Center at Linn-Benton Community College.
This five session course will meet on April 22, 29, May 6, 13, and 20 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., on the LBCC Albany campus, Calapooia Center room CC-213.
The course is required for CCB licensing as part of the education requirement before taking the State of Oregon CCB exam. Participants are required to attend all five of the state-approved sessions to satisfy the educational requirement for Oregon contractor licensing.
Topics include employer requirements and employee rights, Oregon lien and contract law, taxes/recordkeeping, best business practices, project and time management, estimating and scheduling, building codes, OR-OSHA requirements, job site safety, environmental laws, and test taking strategies in compliance with ORS 701-280.

Guided Tour QuickBooks is a four-hour class designed for those with no previous experience using a computer-based accounting system.
Class will meet May 6 and 8, from 2 to 3:50 p.m. in the LBCC Forum building, room F-202, 6500 Pacific Blvd. SW, Albany. Cost for this non-credit class is $69.
QuickBooks I class is designed to help you set up an accounting system using QuickBooks 2013. This 10-hour class will meet on May 15, 22, 29, June 5 and 12, from 2 to 3:50 p.m., in the Forum building, room F-202. Cost for this non-credit class is $195.
