LBCC Computer Application Classes

“Computers-Second Step” and “Digital Photo Books” classes will be held at the LBCC Lebanon and Sweet Home Centers in February.

“Computers-Second Step” helps you build on skills learned in Computers-First Step, including more features of Windows 7, Internet, email, how to copy information between programs, organize files, create folders and more.

This four-week class meets Tuesdays from 6 to 8:20 p.m. beginning Feb. 4 at the LBCC Lebanon Center, 44 Industrial Way. Class is also offered at the LBCC Sweet Home Center beginning Feb. 2 from 1 to 3:30 p.m., and beginning Feb. 13 from 6 to 8:20 p.m. Cost for each class is $39.

“Digital Photo Book” class helps you learn to turn your digital photos into a handcrafted photo book. Learn the basics of editing using Photoshop Elements to improve your digital photos.This five-week will meet Wednesdays from 6 to 7:50 p.m beginning Feb. 12 at the LBCC Lebanon Center. Cost is $39.

Oregon Construction Contractors Board Education (CCB) will be offered through the Small Business Development Center at Linn-Benton Community College. This five session course will meet on April 22, 29, May 6, 13, and 20 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., on the LBCC Albany campus, Calapooia Center room CC-213. The course is required for CCB licensing as part of the education requirement before taking the State of Oregon CCB exam. LBCC Holds Annual Career Fair

A free Career Fair will be held at Linn‑Benton Community College Career Thursday, April 11 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Activities Center gym, Albany campus, 6500 Pacific Blvd. S.W. More than 50 businesses, industries and government agencies will provide information on careers and employment opportunities. College advisors will available to answer questions on career and technical training programs. Be prepared to ask questions, distribute your resume and complete applications. Community Art classes in Albany, Corvallis, and Lebanon

A variety of art classes, including a few new ones, are being offered through LBCC Community Education starting March 28. In the new class “Art & Etsy,” learn to polish your craft and sell your art. Bring your own product to polish up, or bring to life a new creation. Immerse yourself in product design and then create a catchy shop name and an inviting online presence. This one-day class meets Thursday, April 7 from 1 to 3:50 p.m. at the LBCC Lebanon Center, 44 Industrial Way, and Friday, April 15 from 1 to 3:50 p.m. at the LBCC Benton Center, 757 Polk Ave, Corvallis, and Saturday, April 16 from 10 to 12:50 p.m. at the LBCC Albany Campus, 6500 Pacific Blvd. SW.
