SSH Gallery Exhibit “Ekphrasis” & Reception
The art exhibit “Ekphrasis” is on display through May 3 at Linn-Benton Community College South Santiam Hall Gallery, 6500 Pacific Blvd. SW, Albany.
Inspired by the work of Leonardo da Vinci, “Ekphrasis” showcases poetry by 15 members of the LBCC Poetry Club paired with drawings by 15 artists.
Featured artists include Anne Magratten, Aurora Sherwood, Brittany Poteet, Cory Self, Dan Murnane, Diana Ranslam, Elizabeth Gleason, Fran Resendez, Krystal Drexler, Marie Arnold, Michael Bosch, Rebecca Fewless, Scott Harrington, Sinaiah Melendez and Tessa Crawford.
Featured Poetry Club poets include Alyssa Campbell, Bryce Smith, Carolyn Sparling, Ceph Poklemba, Christopher Mikkelson, Grace Allen, Mark Weiss, Matthew Cappelen, Matt Hoffman, Michelle Soutar, Nik Geier, Paige Kosa, Sam Guy, Shane Stanhope and Tav Knight.
A reception will be held in the SSH Gallery Wednesday, April 19 from 12 to 1 p.m., with the LBCC Poetry Club and local artists in attendance and speaking. The reception is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be provided.
