Homebrewing classes start May 4, Corvallis Brewing Supply

A beginning and advanced home beer brewing class will be held through LBCC Community Education starting May 4.

Joel Rea, owner of Corvallis Brewing Supply, will instruct.

Beginning Homebrewing covers tools and techniques used in the fermentation process, from boiling the kettle to filling the bottle, as well as beer styles and the history of home brewing.

This three-week class meets Thursdays from 6 to 8:20 p.m. starting May 4 at Corvallis Brewing Supply, 119 SW 4th St. Cost is $99.

Advanced Homebrewing is a one-day workshop that covers brewing a batch of beer using an all-grain process, including equipment needs and techniques for various styles of brew. Beginning class or instructor approval recommended.

Workshop meets Saturday, May 20 from 9 a.m. to 12:50 p.m. at Corvallis Brewing Supply, 119 SW 4th St. Cost is $99.

Oregon Construction Contractors Board Education (CCB) will be offered through the Small Business Development Center at Linn-Benton Community College. This one-day class meets Thursday, April 7 from 1 to 3:50 p.m. at the LBCC Lebanon Center, 44 Industrial Way, and Friday, April 15 from 1 to 3:50 p.m. at the LBCC Benton Center, 757 Polk Ave, Corvallis, and Saturday, April 16 from 10 to 12:50 p.m. at the LBCC Albany Campus, 6500 Pacific Blvd. SW. Learn a foreign language in classes offered through Community Education at Linn-Benton Community College starting April 4. Spanish for Seniors focuses on conversational Spanish with essential words, songs and phrases to help you get ready to travel more confidently in Spanish speaking countries. Learn past, present, and future verb tenses. Some previous Spanish experience recommended.
