LBCC offering three additional “Better Bones and Balance” classes
LBCC has added three additional “Better Bones and Balance” classes in Albany and Corvallis starting this fall.
The college currently offers more than 20 “Better Bones and Balance” classes throughout Linn and Benton Counties.
The newest Albany class will meet Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays for 11 weeks from 7 to 7:50 a.m. starting September 26 at Legacy Ballet, 104 Main St SE, Albany.
Two new classes were also added in Corvallis, with the first meeting Mondays and Wednesdays for 11 weeks from 10:30 to 11:20 a.m. starting September 26 at First Congregational Church, 4515 SW West Hills Rd, Corvallis.
The second class meets Tuesdays and Thursdays for 11 weeks from 8 to 8:50 a.m. starting September 27 at Oddfellows Hall, 223 SW 2nd St., Corvallis.
Class participants benefit from OSU research that shows a slowing of the rate of bone loss in adults of all ages through. Classes focus on improving balance and coordination, reducing the risk of falls and increasing muscle and overall body fitness.
