LBCC Winter Choir Concert “Luminous Night”

The winter choral concert “Luminous Night” will be held Thursday, March 10 at 7:30 p.m. at Linn-Benton Community College’s LBCC Russell Tripp Performance Center, Takena Hall, 6500 Pacific Blvd. SW, Albany.
The
performance includes LBCC’s award-winning concert and chamber choirs, conducted
by Raymund Ocampo, LBCC director of Choral Studies, and accompanied by Craig
Hanson and Khoa Tran, and the a cappella groups Blue Light Special and The
Sirens.
The concert will feature the choral works Requiem by Eliza Gilkyson, arranged by
Craig Hella Johnson; Bright Morning Stars
arranged by Kirchner; Richte, Mich Gott
by Mendelssohn; O Nata Lux by
Lauridsen; and Luminous Night of the Soul
by Gjeilo.
A cappella ensembles will preform works
including I Won’t Let Go by Rascal
Flatts; Surrender by Cash Cash; Uptown Funk by Mark Ronson; and the ICCA
Northwest Best Arrangement Winner, It’s
Raining Men by the Weather Girls.
Tickets are
$10 general admission, $7 for students, seniors and veterans.
