LBCC Free Phlebotomy Information Sessions

Several free Phlebotomy Program information sessions will be offered through Linn-Benton Community College for those interested in training to become a phlebotomist.

January session times and dates are Thursday, Jan. 10, from 3 to 5 p.m., Wednesday, Jan 23, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Additional sessions will be held Feb. 19, 10 a.m.-Noon, and March 4, 1-3 p.m.

All sessions will be held at the LBCC Lebanon Center, 44 Industrial Way. No preregistration is required to attend. Attendance at one of the information sessions is mandatory to register for the program.

The 16-week Phlebotomy Program training starts July 29 and runs through Nov. 15 at the Lebanon Community Hospital Health Careers Training Center and the LBCC Lebanon Center.

Skill areas covered in the training include medical terminology, basic anatomy and physiology, customer service, medical law and ethics, phlebotomy and

Oregon Construction Contractors Board Education (CCB) will be offered through the Small Business Development Center at Linn-Benton Community College. This five session course will meet on April 22, 29, May 6, 13, and 20 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., on the LBCC Albany campus, Calapooia Center room CC-213. A free Career Fair will be held at Linn‑Benton Community College Career Thursday, April 11 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Activities Center gym, Albany campus, 6500 Pacific Blvd. S.W. More than 50 businesses, industries and government agencies will provide information on careers and employment opportunities. College advisors will available to answer questions on career and technical training programs. Be prepared to ask questions, distribute your resume and complete applications.
