Benton Center Language Classes

Taking a trip abroad this summer? Learn the basics of French and Italian in these classes offered at the LBCC Benton Center starting June 25.

Learn the essentials of conversational French in the class French for Travelers.
The class will focus on the vocabulary most needed in tourist situations. Best for those with some prior knowledge of the language, but prior study is not required to take the class.

This five-week, non-credit class will meet on Mondays and Wednesdays from 10 to 11:50 a.m. starting June 25 at the LBCC Benton Center, room BC-106, 757 Polk Ave NW, Corvallis.

In the class Italian for Travelers, learn language basics of Italian with emphasis on conversation, both speaking and listening, in tourist situations such as meeting people, shopping, directions, restaurants and hotels.

This four-week, non-credit class will meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:30 to 8:20 p.m. starting June 26 at the Benton Center, room BC-236.

Cost for each class is $57 with a $3 lab fee. Seniors age 62 and above are eligible for a 25 percent reduction in tuition. This reduction does not apply to materials or lab fees.

Oregon Construction Contractors Board Education (CCB) will be offered through the Small Business Development Center at Linn-Benton Community College. This five session course will meet on April 22, 29, May 6, 13, and 20 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., on the LBCC Albany campus, Calapooia Center room CC-213. LBCC Holds Annual Career Fair

A free Career Fair will be held at Linn‑Benton Community College Career Thursday, April 11 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Activities Center gym, Albany campus, 6500 Pacific Blvd. S.W. More than 50 businesses, industries and government agencies will provide information on careers and employment opportunities. College advisors will available to answer questions on career and technical training programs. Be prepared to ask questions, distribute your resume and complete applications. Community Art classes in Albany, Corvallis, and Lebanon

A variety of art classes, including a few new ones, are being offered through LBCC Community Education starting March 28. In the new class “Art & Etsy,” learn to polish your craft and sell your art. Bring your own product to polish up, or bring to life a new creation. Immerse yourself in product design and then create a catchy shop name and an inviting online presence.
