Benton Center Class “Urban Chickens-Yes You Can!”


Learn how to keep chickens in your backyard in the class “Urban Chickens - Yes You Can!” offered through the LBCC Benton Center.

Find out how keeping chickens in your urban setting can be easy, fun and a great way for families to learn basic small livestock skills. Class covers ordering chicks, breed characteristics, care, housing, feeding and basic medical care.

Class will take a field trip to the instructor's own urban coop. This one-day is appropriate for ages 10 and up, with a parent.

This non-credit class will meet on Saturday, June 23 from 9 a.m. to 1:50 p.m. at the LBCC Benton Center, room BC-104, 757 Polk Ave NW, Corvallis.

Cost for the class is $29 with a $3 lab fee. Seniors age 62 and above are eligible for a 25 percent reduction in tuition. This reduction does not apply to materials or lab fees.
