Music Faculty Recital “American Pops”
The LBCC Music Department will present its final music
recital for the season, “American Pops,” featuring LBCC music faculty on
Thursday, May 10 at 7:30 p.m. in South Santiam Hall, room SSH-213, 6500 Pacific
Blvd. SW, Albany.
The performance will feature LBCC music faculty Jason Caffarella, tenor; Patty Gerig,
soprano; Diana Hancock, piano; Diane Hawkins, flute; Alex Lancaster, piano; and
James Reddan, tenor.
Faculty will perform songs that have become representative
of America, American Music and American composers. Works by Charles Ives,
Native American flute pieces and musical theater including Sweeny Todd, Casbah,
Annie Get Your Gun, Chess, and much more. There’s sure to be something for
everyone.
This fun, light-hearted performance will be a wonderful way
to celebrate America and American music as we prepare for the upcoming holiday
season including Memorial Day and July 4th!
Tickets are $5 general admission, $3 for students and seniors
and are available at the door. Proceeds
support student scholarships and the LBCC music program.
