Artist Tallmadge Doyle exhibit, SSH Gallery through Feb. 22

An exhibit titled “Pollination” featuring the art of Tallmadge Doyle will be on display at the LBCC South Santiam Gallery through February 22.

Doyle’s botanical imagery on woodblock prints is a combination of found organic matter, natural phenomenon, line work and even astronomy resulting in exquisite compositions with silhouettes.

When scrutinizing the details, viewers can recognize Ginko leaves and wheatgrass, while stepping back allows the strong graphic styles of the artwork to be appreciated as a whole.

An artist reception will be held Thursday, Feb. 22 from 3 to 4 p.m. in the SSH Gallery.

Born in New York City, Doyle is a printmaker, painter and public artist. She has lived and worked in Eugene for 25 years.

Doyle received her bachelor of fine art in drawing from the Cleveland Art Institute and an MFA in printmaking from the University of Oregon. Doyle’s work can be viewed online at http://www.tallmadgedoyle.com.

LBCC gallery hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. Admission is free.
