Web Services Restored After Internet Slow-Down

LBCC Web Services have been restored following a lengthy internet interruption this morning. Moodle, WebRunner, gmail and other services are functional again.

The 49th annual Linn-Benton Community College Commencement ceremony will be held Thursday, June 15 at 7 p.m. at the Linn County Fair and Expo Willamette Event Center in Albany. LBCC will award 911 degrees and certificates to 727 students this year. In addition, approximately 90 students will be awarded LBCC’s General Educational Development GED certificates. Graduates should plan to arrive no later than 5:45 p.m. at the Santiam Building behind the Willamette Event Center. Doors open for seating at 6 p.m. No tickets needed to attend. No strollers or backpacks. Carry bags will be checked. A traditional bagpipe processional will be lead by the Portland Metro Pipe Band, with posting of the colors by the American Legion Travis Moothart Post 184 of Brownsville. LBCC President Dr. Greg Hamann will give the welcome and present several awards including Phi Theta Kappa and Distinguished Alumni awards. Graduates should plan to arrive no later than 5:45 p.m. at the Santiam Building at the Expo Center. Doors open for seating at 6 p.m. No tickets are needed to attend the ceremony. LBCC will award 984 degrees and certificates to 835 candidates this year. Approximately 250 students completed LBCC’s General Educational Development preparation program and will receive their certificates at commencement. LBCC Real Estate Broker Pre-License Exam

A Real Estate Broker Pre-License Exam course will be offered through Linn-Benton Community College starting September 28. Designed to prepare you for the Oregon Real Estate Broker License Exam, this 150-hour hybrid course is the fastest way to qualify to take the state exam. This 10-week course will meet on Wednesdays from 6 to 9 p.m. beginning September 28 at the LBCC Albany campus, 6500 Pacific Blvd SW, room CC-212. The course content will be mostly Internet based. Students are expected to have online capability, able to self-study and attend all class sessions. A mandatory study session will be held on Saturday, the last day of the class. Cost for this non-credit course is $600.
