North Santiam Hall Gallery exhibits work of Oregon State Art Faculty

North Santiam Hall Gallery presents a group exhibition of diverse work by the art faculty of Oregon State University on display through December 2 at Linn-Benton Community College, 6500 Pacific Blvd. SW, Albany.

The OSU Art Faculty Show features 14 artists: Evan Baden, Michael Boonstra, Julia Bradshaw, Katherine Campbell, Anna Fidler, Lee Ann Garrison, Julie Green, Stephen Hayes, Yuji Hiratsuka, Shelley Jordon, Andrew Myers, Felix Oliveros, Kerry Skarbakka, and John Whitten.

The work on view showcases a vivid range of subject matter, style and media including photography, paintings in oil, tempera and acrylic; printmaking using screen and chine colle techniques; graphite on paper, and video.

A reception and artist talk is scheduled for Wednesday, October 26 from 12 to 1pm in the NSH Gallery second floor atrium. The exhibit extends to both floors of the gallery. The reception is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be provided.

LBCC art galleries are free and open to the public from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Oregon Construction Contractors Board Education (CCB) will be offered through the Small Business Development Center at Linn-Benton Community College. This five session course will meet on April 22, 29, May 6, 13, and 20 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., on the LBCC Albany campus, Calapooia Center room CC-213. The course is required for CCB licensing as part of the education requirement before taking the State of Oregon CCB exam. LBCC Holds Annual Career Fair

A free Career Fair will be held at Linn‑Benton Community College Career Thursday, April 11 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Activities Center gym, Albany campus, 6500 Pacific Blvd. S.W. More than 50 businesses, industries and government agencies will provide information on careers and employment opportunities. College advisors will available to answer questions on career and technical training programs. Be prepared to ask questions, distribute your resume and complete applications.
