LBCC Adult Education classes offer plenty to do during the winter season. Choose from a variety of non-credit, personal enrichment and fitness classes.

New class: IPhoto ITunes IMovie Madness. Learn the tips and tricks needed to be successful with iTunes, iPhoto and iMovie. Learn how to create, edit and download using Apple's programs. Add video from iPhoto, work with sound and background music with iTunes, create visual effects, add voiceover and much more. Whether for business or home use this class will give you the tools you need.
Beginning January 12, class meets Tuesdays for 3 weeks, 6:00-7:50 pm at LBCC Main Campus in Albany, Room McKenzie Hall Room 211. Register in advance. $59.
Facebook for Beginners. Perfect for anyone, including seniors, seeking to learn the basics of connecting with friends and family online. Learn to establish a Facebook account, set up your profile, set security parameters, connect to friends and family, post pictures, and contribute to like-minded groups using both computer based and tablet/smartphone based applications. Basic computer and web browsing skills are necessary. Bring your smartphone or tablet if available.
Beginning January 14, class meets for three weeks on Thursdays from 6:00-7:50pm at the Albany Senior Center, Cost is $59.
New class: Prezi: Power Up Your Presentation. Gain interest in your next presentation by making it pop. Prezi is a free online presentation tool that can help you to make the best first impression, outshine your competitors, or tell a captivating story. Prezi's animations give it a more cinematic feel than PowerPoint and Keynote. Create more dynamic presentations in this hands-on introduction.
Beginning January 12, class meets on Tuesdays for four weeks from 6:30-7:50pm LBCC Albany McKenzie Hall, Albany. Cost is $59.
Beginning and Intermediate Cowboy Dance for Couples. Learn Cowboy 2-step, Swing, Waltz and Cha Cha. Not a line dancing class, Cowboy Dance for Couples works great in ballroom and swing dancing.
Beginning Cowboy Dance for Couples starts January 12 and meets on Tuesdays from 6:00-7:20pm. Intermediate Cowboy Dance for Couples starts January 12 and meets on Tuesdays from 7:30-8:50pm. Both are held in the LBCC Activities Center, 6500 Pacific Blvd SW, Albany. . Cost is $65 per person. You are encouraged to enroll with a partner. Wear soft-soled shoes.
New class: Night Club 2 Step. This fun, flowing, and slow social dance similar to waltz but danced to more contemporary music you would hear on the radio or TV. It's perfect for club venues, weddings, parties, and romantic nights out. It's popular in Country Dance venues commonly found danced with Country 2 Step and Country Swing. No Partner necessary. Class is for Beginners with little or no experience.
Beginning January 15, class meets on Fridays from 7:00-8:20pm in the LBCC Activities Center, Main Campus, Albany. Cost is $69.
International Ballroom Dance for Beginners. Express your inner-self in movement with music. Learn basic techniques, basic steps, and several figures in four ballroom dances: Cha-Cha, Rumba, Jive, and Waltz.
Beginning January 14, class meets on Thursdays from 7:30-8:50pm at the Albany Senior Center, Cost is $65. Dance partner required.
Equine Skills. Learn horse maneuvers in order to prepare for amateur and professional events. Basic principles of behavior modification and horse psychology will be utilized to evaluate the individual horse and build a training program suited to the individual. Must bring own horse.
Beginning January 13, class meets on Wednesdays from 7:00-9:50pm at the Linn County Fairgrounds, 3700 Knox Butte, Albany. Cost is $129. Register in advance.
Spanish for Seniors. Practice Spanish conversation with essential words, songs and phrases. Get ready to travel more confidently in Spanish speaking countries of Latin America. Students will learn past, present, and future verb tenses. We will have a fiesta with food and music. One term of previous Spanish experience recommended. Textbook: Spanish Now!, 7th Edition, is available at the LBCC bookstore.

For the Love of Singing. No plane ticket or audition required for this trip to Broadway. Learn to sing songs from many of the great Broadway shows from the 1950's to the present in this interactive class. Along the way you will build confidence in your abilities. No singing experience is needed.
