LBCC Travel at the Tripp Film Series “Italy’s Fabled Islands”
Filmmaker Stan Walsh will present the film “Italy’s Fabled Isles,” the last show in the LBCC Travel at the Tripp film series, on Sunday, April 7 at 2 p.m. in the Linn-Benton Community College Russell Tripp Performance Center.
Join the filmmaker and experts from AAA Travel after the show for a question and answer session, with prizes from AAA.
Explore some of Italy’s most exotic islands, the fabled islands of Sicily, Capri and Elba. Visit Capri’s beautiful Blue Grotto, the two-mile high Mount Etna on Sicily along with the ancient buildings, old towns and lively people.
A native of New Jersey, Walsh attended the University of Southern California where he moonlighted as a projectionist for globetrotting lecturers. This on-the-job training planted the seed for future filmmaking, and he has established film series in Florida, New Jersey and California.
Volunteers with SafeHaven Humane Society will sell coffee, tea and homemade baked goods during the show’s intermission. Proceeds support SafeHaven Humane Society, Albany’s non-profit animal shelter.
Ticket price is $8, $6.50 for students/seniors. The film will be shown in the LBCC Russell Tripp Performance Center in Takena Hall, 6500 Pacific Blvd. SW, Albany.
