LBCC Announces GED Testing Changes
LBCC is encouraging students who are thinking of getting their General Education Development (GED) certificate to finish their testing as soon as possible.
The current version of the GED tests will expire at the end of 2013, and will be replaced Jan. 2, 2014 with the new 2014 GED test.
To avoid having to start over, students must pass all five tests in reading, science, social studies, math and writing by the end of this year.
If you are ready to take the GED tests, you can contact the LBCC Student Assessment Center at 541-917-4781.
If you need help preparing for the tests, LBCC offers GED classes throughout the year. You must attend a free two-session orientation before registering for classes.
LBCC orientation sessions will be offered the week of March 18, and GED classes will begin the week of April 1. There is a $30 enrollment fee due at registration.
Orientations and classes are available at the LBCC Albany campus, the LBCC Benton Center in Corvallis, and the Lebanon and Sweet Home Centers. Dates and times vary.
For more information, contact the LBCC Adult Basic Education/General Education Development department, 541-917-4710.
