LBCC Offers Non-Credit Fitness Classes Winter Term

Get your New Year’s fitness fix by taking a non-credit fitness class, such as Zumba Toning or Pilates, offered through LBCC Albany Community Education winter term.

Zumba Toning combines body-sculpting techniques and specific Zumba moves into one calorie-burning, muscle-toning class. Students will use light hand weights to build strength and tone all the target zones.

This 11-week class will meet on Mondays and Wednesdays from 4 to 4:50 p.m. starting Jan. 9 at the LBCC Activities Center gym, 6500 Pacific Blvd. SW, Albany. Cost for this non-credit class is $69 with a $3 lab fee.

Pilates Combo is a series of low-impact exercises that concentrates on building strong abdominal muscles which improves balance and coordination. The class format involves toning with light weights, balancing and mat workout using a combination of yoga and Pilates moves.

This 11-week class will meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8 to 8:50 a.m. starting Jan. 10 at the Albany Senior Center, 489 Water Ave. NW. Cost for this non-credit class is $70.50 with a $5 lab fee.
