Economic and Business Equity Office Informational Meeting on Cool Schools Initiative

The director of Oregon’s Economic and Business Equity office will hold an informational meeting at Linn-Benton Community College on Thursday, Jan. 26 from 10 to 11 a.m. in the Calapooia Center building, Cascade View conference room 203, 6500 Pacific Blvd. SW, Albany.

Contractors are encouraged to attend to learn more about the governor's $2 million Cool School Audit Initiative, which was funded by the federal stimulus program to provide energy audits for 394 facilities in 100 school districts across Oregon.

The Initiative identified more than $20 million in various energy efficiency projects. The meeting will cover how to do business with the state, including how to obtain a Minority, Women and Emerging Small Business certification, how to bid on Cool School energy projects and other government contracts, and how to access capital.

This event is free and open to the public and sponsored by the LBCC Small Business Development Center. For more information or to reserve your space, contact Ann Whittington at 541-917-4929.
