Pesticides Laws & Safety in Spanish Feb. 2 & 3

A Pesticide Private Applicator class in Spanish will be held through the Small Business Development Center at Linn-Benton Community College February 2 and 3.

Designed to prepare senior agriculture workers to take the State of Oregon Department of Agriculture pesticide applicator exam, classes provide in-depth training, including extra coaching in math and calibration skills. Course may be used for recertification credits.

Pesticide Private Applicator in Spanish meets February 2 and 3, beginning at 8 a.m. both days, at LBCC’s Calapooia Center, room CC-203/205. Cost is $119.

LBCC offers ODA exams at an additional cost of $58 each. For test dates, see the METRO web site at http://oregon.metrosignup.com or call 1-877-533-2900. The ODA pesticide applicators exam is optional and should be arranged with Metro.

Learn a foreign language in classes offered through Community Education at Linn-Benton Community College starting April 4. Spanish for Seniors focuses on conversational Spanish with essential words, songs and phrases to help you get ready to travel more confidently in Spanish speaking countries.
