LBCC Veterinary Assistant Information Sessions

Four free Veterinary Assistant Program information sessions will be held at Linn-Benton Community College in September and October for those interested in training to become a Veterinary Assistant.

These pre-application sessions will be held Wednesday, September 17, 10 a.m.- noon; Tuesday, October 7, 1-3 p.m.; Thursday, October 16, 11 a.m-1 p.m.; and Tuesday, October 21, noon-2 p.m. at the LBCC Albany campus, Calapooia Center, room CC-212.

Attendance at one information session is mandatory in order to take the program. No preregistration needed to attend.

The 17-week LBCC Veterinary Assistant Program starts Jan. 5 and runs through May 1, 2015. Skill areas covered include basic education and experience in common disease states, commonly used medical and surgical techniques, and an introduction to hospital management, business procedures and radiation safety.
