LBCC and OIT to Sign Academic Agreement
Linn-Benton Community College and Oregon Institute of Technology will sign a dual enrollment agreement at 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 15 in LBCC’s Calapooia Center Board Room.
The dual enrollment agreement will allow students to become concurrently enrolled at each institution. Students who intend on obtaining a bachelor’s degree at OIT can maximize credit transfer and gain access to resources including financial aid, advising and student services at both institutions.
LBCC and Oregon Tech have standing partnerships aligning curriculum in diagnostic imaging, apprenticeship and machine tool technology. The dual enrollment agreement will encourage future alignment of additional academic programs.
Founded in Klamath Falls in 1947, Oregon Institute of Technology is one of seven institutions in the Oregon University System, and the only public institute of technology in the Pacific Northwest.
Oregon Tech provides degree programs in engineering and health technologies, management, communications and applied sciences. Oregon Tech’s main campus is in Klamath Falls, with additional locations in Portland, La Grande and Seattle.
